FDP ON “TRANSFORMING EDUCATION FOR THE HOSPITALITY SECTOR”
Faculty Development Programs (FDP) signify a transformative journey for Educators, Institutions, and Students. Participants emerge with enhanced teaching methodologies, refined research skills, and a deeper understanding of pedagogical innovation. FDPs serve as catalysts for professional growth, institutional advancement, and student success, making them integral to the holistic development of Higher Education.
Faculty Development Programs also play a crucial role in enhancing Faculty Members’ professional development and academic excellence, ultimately benefitting the institutional stakeholders as a whole. FDPs contribute extensively to the quality and relevance of Research and Education, preparing Faculty Members to deliver impactful and up-to-date instructions that prepare students for successful careers in the Hospitality Industry.
Hospitality Education in India encompasses a diverse range of Programs and Initiatives to prepare individuals for careers in the hospitality industry. It has emerged as a driving force for developing economies and plays a crucial role in creating the right kind of manpower needed for the industry.
Keeping this in mind BGSIHM organized a Two-Day Faculty Development Program themed, “Transforming Education for the Hospitality Sector” on 18th and 19th April 2024.

5. Social Media and its Effective Use
The Chief Guest was Mr. Sachin Muddappa, National Head – Great Destination Hotels and Resorts. The Guest of Honour was Dr. K V Mahendra Prashanth, Principal of S J B Institute of Technology, Bangalore.
